As graduated Fashion Designers, we create womenswear and menswear collections which stand out with their subtle details and invite people to be utterly themselves.
ABOUT US
AT THE BEGINNING
In 1988, Charlotte Maager started in the 6th district of Vienna with a self-produced embroidery collection sold on the premises.
Modus Vivendi was created.

Monika Bacher joined a few years later.
The Label MODUS VIVENDI was founded. Then, there was also a womens and mens pret-a-porter collection
MODUS VIVENDI IS CREATED
HANDMADE IN VIENNA
The unique pieces and small series were produced in the studio above the shop.
THE LOOK
From 1996, Vera Sperl took over the production and patterns.
The well-fitted pants soon became very popular. And with the chiné merino pullovers, styled for example with a casual hat and a tweed trench-coat, it became Modus’s signature look well-known in the neighborhood.
VIENNESE BLOOD
During a few years, there was another store in the 1st district.
But the company and the studio remained the headquarters of the brand in the 6th district.

NEW LOCATION
In 2017, MODUS VIVENDI moves in the 7th district.
Meanwhile, it’s been produced and sold to selected shops in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
